Whilst on the Bristol TYA unit you will remain under the care of your specialist consultant and team, however care is very much a team approach.
We have a specialist team of TYA cancer professionals who will support you throughout and beyond your cancer diagnosis and treatment. The TYA team will respond to your emotional, social and practical needs, remembering that you are a young person and an individual. The TYA team will work in a positive, flexible, creative way to meet your needs and understand what is most important to you. They can also support your family, friends, partner, tutors, colleagues... basically anyone who is supporting you and is also affected by what you are going through.
We see the young person first, cancer diagnosis second.
