Royal Devon is one of six designated hospitals across the South West region, approved for providing specialist age-appropriate care for young people with cancer. Depending on the type of cancer you have, it might be possible for you to have treatment at the Royal Devon hospital, closer to home.
If you are between 16 and 24 years of age you should be offered the choice to receive treatment in Bristol, or more locally in our regional designated hospital – Royal Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
Your doctor or clinical nurse specialist (CNS) will be happy to discuss this with you, and if you would like them to, they can arrange a visit to the unit in Bristol or your designated treatment hospital, to see the facilities and meet the team.

End of Treatment Clinics: These take place approximately every 6 months. This is an opportunity for young people and those close to them to reflect on what they have been through, living with uncertainty and navigating life after treatment.
